About
What changed, and what is coming
Money rules have dates. A limit that is true this year is wrong next year, and the IRS, the plan, and Congress each change things on their own calendars. So this site never prints a limit inside a guide. Every number that changes by year lives in one table, with the year it applies to, the official page it was read from, the sentence on that page that states it, and the day it was last confirmed there. The guides ask for the number by name and show it with its date. When the official page changes, the watcher notices, reads the new value, records the change here in plain words, and sends every guide that depends on it back through the checks before it is shown again.
Most yearly limits are announced in the fall for the year ahead. Some laws change on a set future date, and those are listed under coming changes as soon as they are known, so a person planning for 2027 is not reading 2026's rule by mistake.
